A mono-act play: Jalane Padade
On the occasion of the silver jubilee of Gurjarvani, Xavier Center for Culture and Communication, SANGAATH presented a mono-act play, “Jala ne Padade”.  This play portrayed the life of the famous poet in Gujarati literature Manishankar Ratnaji Bhatt, better known as Kavi Kant who accepted Christianity to attain inner peace. The play written by Satish Vyas and directed-acted by Kamal Joshi presents the deep struggle Kavi Kant went through while accepting Christianity for his personal reasons and later had to give up Christianity due to the on-going boycott by the entire society. The mono-act play is beautifully choreographed with sound and light arrangements to powerfully present the conflict and creativity in the life of Kavi Kant.
The play was staged at Diamond Jubilee auditorium at St. Xavier’s Loyola High School, Naranpura, India at 5 pm on 22nd January, Saturday.
